WEEKLY THEMES
JUNE 10 - 14
WATER AND WILDLIFE
Don’t be afraid to get wet this week as we embark on a journey through our very own Brewery Creek. Campers will splash through puddles and streams, perform watery experiments to explore creek and river ecology, and learn to utilize observation and discovery to find the animals and critters that share our Marshall campus environment.
JUNE 17 - 21
HILLTOP HARMONIES
Have you ever listened to the melodies of nature cascading through the great outdoors? This week, campers fine-tune their listening skills as they create music and natural instruments based on the sounds of the wind, birds, water, and life outside. Using surfaces, sticks, natural materials, and found objects, an entire symphony will emerge as we make music together.
JUNE 24 - 28
THEATRE AND MUSIC
Can you scurry like a squirrel, leap like a frog, project your voice like a riveting robin, and put on a show like an incredible morning sunrise? Using nature as our muse, we’ll focus on body movement training, spatial awareness, acting basics, and self-confidence development. Campers will spend the week crafting an inspiring performance to share courageously in an outdoor play.
JULY 1 - 3
TERRIFIC TEAMMATES
Grab your friends and join the team! Through fun field games, sports exploration, and playing outside, campers will learn all of the best characteristics of being a great team player. We’ll practice supporting others and skills for building interpersonal relationships, while developing patience, honorable sportsmanship traits, effective observation abilities, and a joy in cheering on our new-found pals.
JULY 8 - 12
ALL ABOUT ANIMALS
Bears, birds, and beavers! Oh my! Strap on the binoculars and tighten your pack, we’re headed out on a wildlife expedition right here in our own backyard. This week is all about animals: classifications, local species, art prints and masks, games, and even permission granted to act like our favorite furry and feathered friends.
JULY 15 - 19
ARTS AND CRAFTS IN NATURE
Budding artists will bloom among all things art and crafts… with a special nature twist. Our outdoor environment will double as an art supply store as we create based on natural materials and found objects, and inspired by colors and shapes in the flowers and world around us. Creativity will grow and shine in this art-filled week.
JULY 22 - 26
INNOVATIVE INVENTORS
Let those fantastic minds run wild! This STEM and invention-based week focuses on finding and creating solutions to problems using our own great ideas. Campers will work in teams to develop toys, games, inventions, and more while having fun exploring options, communicating effectively, and bringing thoughts from brain to build.
JULY 29 - AUGUST 2
LOVING OUR LAND
This week, campers develop a deeper appreciation for the forests, fields, and hills of Northern Minnesota through collaborative exploration and discovery. We’ll practice development of respect and responsibility as we learn about indigenous history, land conservation strategies, land management and appreciation from a child’s perspective, and techniques for “listening” to the world we inhabit.
AUGUST 5 - 9
SUMMER OUTDOOR FUN
As this magnificent summer of exploration comes to a close, we’ll embrace a solid week of the most awesome adventures focused on fun, fun, fun! Field games, relays, and laughter galore - join us for one last summertime “hoorah!” before we get ready for another year of learning.

Marshall Holiday Ski Camp is an annual lesson-based experience for children ages 5-12, and is supervised by the Marshall Nordic Ski Team Coaching Staff. Instruction is provided by members of our Nordic Ski Team and Marshall alumni. Rental equipment, sledding, bonfires with marshmallows, crafts, hot chocolate, and snacks are included in three afternoons of winter fun!
Students are placed in small groups based on age and ability on the first day and are assigned instructors who will work with them the entire camp. The instruction is thorough and nurturing, taking skiing students to the "next level" regardless of where they start out.
