Dean Korach Retires

The Hilltopper community would like to recognize and wish Dean Korach the best in retirement, after 27 years of passionately serving as the Director of Food Service.

From delighting countless family members on Grandparent’s Day through the years, to serving gala-style meals at Marshall’s auction, he could envision and execute it all. Korach led his team to adapt to new and inclusive options for the Marshall community, instituting vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, a daily soup and salad bar, and serving Marshall’s international residents with a variety of foods to relieve their homesickness. Staff were always “treated” on professional days, and all of this on top of serving lunch to a community of 450 people per day, Monday through Friday, for 27 years. Korach’s creative spirit was not tethered to the kitchen: The annual and perennial flowers that have adorned campus for graduation, and through the spring, summer, and autumn, were planted with his loving touch for others to enjoy. Dean, you will be missed–even more than your Italian Wedding soup.
