Visiting Marshall

9th Grade Opportunities!

Each recruitment cycle is yields different types of applicants. This year, Marshall School is experiencing record-setting applications, but does have unique openings for students heading into high school.

As we thoughtfully shape our high school next year, we still have a limited amount of grade-level specific aid earmarked for new students entering 9th grade. If you've been thinking about exploring Marshall for high school, it's best to connect with our admissions department as soon as possible.

Imagine the following…

  • The area’s top college preparatory education
  • Small class sizes and personal relationships with mentors
  • The opportunity to earn college credit at Marshall School
  • More than $5 million in annual scholarships to graduating seniors
  • Experiential and engaging learning opportunities
  • A safe environment for your student to learn, grow, and continue evolving

…at a tuition that works with your family’s finances and makes Marshall affordable all four years thanks to our financial aid program.

Reach out to our admissions staff at admissions@marshallschool.org or call 218-727-7266 to explore this unique, but limited, opportunity!

Personal Tours and Visits

Interested families and students can arrange for personal tours at Marshall School throughout the school year and summer months. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, learn about how the Marshall community operates, what it means and feels like to be a Hilltopper. A tour and time to visit with the Director of Enrollment can be scheduled by contacting the admissions office at admissions@marshallschool.org or (218) 727-7266 ext. 110.

Summer hours in Marshall's Admissions Office are M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with occasional days off. Please call in advance to be certain of tour and office availability.

Open Houses

Marshall hosts several open houses throughout the school year. The entire family is invited to take a tour with a Marshall teacher, ask questions and learn more about academics, arts, athletics and anything else Marshall has to offer.

Dates for the 2018-19 Open Houses will be set in the fall

Campus Visit Days

Campus visit days are the best way to "test drive" a regular day of school at Marshall. Coordinated on specific days throughout the school year, future Marshall students can come to school and spend a day with a Hilltopper Student Ambassador, and also interview with the Director of Enrollment and grade level principal. We can, at times, accommodate visit days outside of this schedule as well.

Campus Visit Day dates for the 2018-19 will be set in the fall of 2018.

Admissions Testing Days

Our admissions testing helps us understand a bit more about a student and how they perform academically. It is only a part of the total admissions process, not the definitive answer. It is, however, important for us to get an in-action snapshot of a student's academic skills to compare with their interview and overall transcript.

Testing dates for the 2018-19 school year will be set in the fall of 2018.

We look forward to meeting you at Marshall soon!

Topper Tunnels

One of our traditions is to send state bound students off to their competition with a "topper tunnel." where all students line the front hallway and cheer for their classmates. Some of the teams and activities honored recently include:

  • Math League
  • Dance
  • Robotics
  • All State Music
  • Tennis
  • CyberPatriots

News

There might be plenty of paths from Korea to New York City's theater stages, but Paul Yoon may have taken one of the longer routes. The 2016 Marshall graduate started his journey in our Fregeau Auditorium and now finds himself at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Many people feel this is the best time of the year because of all the holidays, celebrations, and cheer as we wrap up another trip around the sun. More than a few others celebrate lists this time of year. Top moments of 2017, top movies of 2017, top sports plays of 2017 ... all those year-end lists give us chances to compare, contrast, debate and delve into a year's worth of memories. We're lucky at Marshall to have Kim Kosmatka as our photographer. She's talented, she's the best at capturing those "Marshall moments," and she knows our school and students so well! We've asked Ms. Kosmatka to put together her 17 best photos from 2017, and we'll be unveiling one per day leading up to 2018. The first photo, along with a bit of insider info from Ms. Kosmatka, will be on our Facebook page December 15. Be sure to head there each day to see this list unfold. And, since it is the giving season, be sure to give our Marshall School page a "like" and a "follow" if you haven't yet. Let's also spread the cheer to those outside of the Marshall community (and, in turn, give Ms. Kosmatka some much-deserved love) by hitting the "share" button on these fantastic photos images for which we are so thankful!
