Q: Why does Marshall offer guided tuition rather than one fixed tuition price?
A: Marshall is committed to providing the highest quality educational program in the region. At the same time, we recognize that families have different budgets, and it is our goal to work within those budgets so that we may remain an inclusive, welcoming school that reflects our community. We call this community-centered pricing, as it ties the cost of attendance directly to household incomes, creating price points that are accessible for a wide range of families. With guided tuition, Marshall is committing institutional resources toward investing in families and students, while also asking families to invest in Marshall, so that together we can create an exceptional educational experience for our community’s children.
Q: Are there options available to spread out my tuition payment throughout the year?
A: Yes! We offer monthly, twice-yearly, and single lump-sum tuition payment plans. Nominal fees and modestly priced tuition payment insurance apply to these monthly and twice-yearly plans.
Q: Are there discounts for enrolling multiple students?
A: Yes! If you have three or more children enrolled at Marshall at the same time you are eligible for a Multiple Student Discount.
Q: What if parents are separated or divorced?
A: We ask that each parent submit a separate Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) through School and Student Services (SSS). However, we understand that each family has a unique situation, so we welcome a conversation with a member of our admissions team.
Q: When do I need to apply?
A: Most guided tuition amounts are determined by the end of March. If you want to ensure your family is given priority consideration for guided tuition, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
Q: What if we have special circumstances that we want to share?
A: Any special financial concerns should be included in the notes section of the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). We recognize that each family situation is unique, and we welcome your questions. Please contact our Business Office for more information by emailing missy.herold@marshallschool.org
Q: If I am paying the maximum guided tuition amount, am I subsidizing families paying lower amounts?
A: No. The actual cost of educating each Marshall student is approximately 20% more than the maximum guided tuition amount. Every family’s guided tuition amount at Marshall is made possible by generous philanthropic support and other auxiliary revenue, not through tuition paid by other families.
