Teachers Who Care

Enthusiastic- Marshall teachers are explorers, writers, and award winners. They spark students’ imagination and creativity and appreciate the individual contributions of each child. They truly enjoy teaching and learning about their students, and they welcome partnerships with parents that benefit children.

Accessible - They appreciate young people and choose to work with them outside of the formal classroom as advisors, mentors, coaches, and club leaders. They make themselves available and are concerned not only with the academic achievements of their students but also with their social and emotional needs.

Continuous Learners - They hold advanced degrees and are committed to their own lifelong learning in order to continually challenge their students. Through the Fryberger Professional Initiative Fund, teachers apply for grants to further their academic studies or to create new experiences for their students.

Student CommunityStudents Who Care

Seniors talk to fifth graders. Eighth graders play on athletic teams with juniors. New students are greeted in the halls with a smile. At Marshall, students support one another in the classroom, on the field, on stage, and anywhere else they come together. Students can become who they are and know that they will be respected for that.

Parents Who Care

All Marshall parents are members of the Marshall Parent Organization (MPO) by virtue of their children attending the school and are encouraged to participate in one or more the 12 standing committees. The (MPO) supports the mission of the school through activities that enhance the curricular and co-curricular opportunities available to students. The school communicates with parents on a regular basis through parent conferences, comment sheets, parent newsletters, and monthly mailings and welcomes parent involvement.

Alumni Who Care

Graduation marks the beginning of belonging to the Marshall community in another way, as Hilltopper alumni who can always tap into the resources of the school for advice, for mentorship, and for a perpetual sense of connection to classmates and faculty. Whether it is playing in annual hockey game, supporting a school program, or by coming to campus for a Golden Topper fifty-year reunion, alumni are always a part of the Marshall School community.
