Visiting Marshall

There are a variety of ways to visit Marshall School and experience our community. It is a wonderful balance here at Marshall: unique experiences are paired with rich traditions. We would love to answer your questions about academics, arts, athletics, financial aid, and anything else.

Please contact our Admissions Office to arrange a visit to Marshall School.

Open Houses

Marshall hosts several open houses throughout the school year. The entire family is invited to take a tour with a Marshall teacher, ask questions and learn more about academics, arts, athletics and anything else Marshall has to offer.

2016-2017 OPEN HOUSES:
Saturday, November 5, 1-3pm
Saturday, January 7, 1-3pm
Saturday, March 25, 1-3 pm

We would love to have you stop by and check out Marshall at our next upcoming open house.

Campus Visit Days

Campus visit days are the best way to "test drive" a regular day of school at Marshall. Coordinated on specific days throughout the school year, future Marshall students can come to school and spend a day with a Hilltopper Student Ambassador, and also interview with the Director of Enrollment and grade level principal. We can, at times, accommodate visit days outside of this schedule as well.

*** RSVP for our Campus Visit Days by e-mailing admissions@marshallschool.org or calling us at (218) 727-7266. ***

Admissions Testing Days

Our admissions testing helps us understand a bit more about a student and how they perform academically. It is only a part of the total admissions process, not the definitive answer. It is, however, important for us to get an in-action snapshot of a student's academic skills to compare with their interview and overall transcript.

Tests are held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the following dates. We can also work to find individual dates and times for students to take the admissions test as well.

2016-2017 ADMISSIONS TESTING DAYS:
Saturday, November 19
Saturday, December 10
Wednesday, December 28
Saturday, January 21
Saturday, March 25
Saturday, May 6

Personal Tours and Visits

Interested families and students can also arrange for personal tours at Marshall School. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, learn about how the Marshall community operates, what it means and feels like to be a Hilltopper. A tour and time to visit with the Director of Enrollment can be scheduled by contacting the admissions office at admissions@marshallschool.org or (218) 727-7266 ext. 110.

We look forward to meeting you at Marshall soon.

Topper Tunnels

One of our traditions is to send state bound students off to their competition with a "topper tunnel." where all students line the front hallway and cheer for their classmates. Some of the teams and activities honored recently include:

  • Math League
  • Dance
  • Robotics
  • All State Music
  • Tennis
  • CyberPatriots

News

Monday, March 13, our community unites to demonstrate this excellence via the Marshall Fine Arts Showcase. This annual show has been a tradition for many years, and students beautifully reveal the heart of Marshall through their pieces. Done in partnership with Zeitgeist Arts, the event is a celebration of Youth Art Month. "We try to pick work that really showcases what we've been learning," Burns said, "or maybe a student really pushed their own boundaries and we're really proud of them."

Imagine how muddled you would feel if you stumbled onto a stage, were mistaken as an understudy, and forced to perform a play in which you knew none of the lines. This 'play-ception ' is the premise of Marshall's One Act play of 2017—The Actor's Nightmare. Written by Christopher Durang, this fun, entertaining comedy will keep you interested as you witness the struggles of the main character, George, as he is thrust into several plays he knows nothing about and begins to even doubt his own identity as he confuses all the actors around him who don't understand why he doesn't know any of his lines.
